(FORTUNE Magazine) – PHILADELPHIA -- The buttons worn by dozens of representatives to the National Organization for Women convention said simply, ''Shred Bork.'' The slogan signified the prevailing sentiment among the 1,600 women who attended the three-day annual meeting here . . . in the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel . . . A different view of feminism's ramifications prevailed among the hotel's bellhops. Many women refused to let them carry their suitcases as they checked in or out, and the bellhops were fighting mad ((because)) it meant fewer tips. -- From a news report in the New York Times.
