(FORTUNE Magazine) – I was very disturbed by the ''Marvin'' comic . . . which showed Marvin asking another baby, ''Molly, do you have a working mother . . . or a full-time lackey?'' . . . I resent the term ''lackey,'' which suggests subservience and mindlessness. This comment is as offensive to mothers as are racist and sexist comments to those who are victims of them. Mothers at home are increasingly demoralized by what is printed about them . . . The Post should screen its cartoons . . . -- From a letter in the Washington Post.
