(FORTUNE Magazine) – INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana has agreed to place a pamphlet in state park inn rooms that warns readers ((against)) the Bible . . . The pamphlet ((is)) published by the Freedom From Religion Foundation . . . It was submitted in protest of Governor Evan Bayh's decision last year to keep Gideon Bibles in the rooms . . . In response to complaints about the Bibles from the Indiana Civil Liberties Union, Bayh decided to allow any religion that had tax-exempt status . . . to provide materials for inn rooms. The foundation has such status . . . The group's pamphlet . . . characterizes the biblical God as a ''macho male warrior who . . . is partial to one race of people ((and)) judges women inferior to men . . .'' -- From a UPI dispatch.
