(FORTUNE Magazine) – SAN FRANCISCO -- Death-row inmates at San Quentin prison say it is unfair to deny them reproductive rights, so a group of them has sued for . . . the right to procreate through artificial insemination. ''These inmates believe that they are being subjected to cruel and unusual punishment because not only are they being sentenced to die but future generations of their family are being executed also,'' said attorney Carter King . . . King said . . . their families . . . could lose the chance to perpetuate a family name.
