DINNER AT TIFFANY'S
By Alison Rogers

(FORTUNE Magazine) – Donald Trump and Marla Maples named their daughter Tiffany, so it's no surprise the couple registered at the store for their bridal gifts. Dinner plates in Marla's Green Band pattern go for $60 apiece. The cheapest blue-box option for the thrifty well-wisher is a $40 bread-and-butter plate. Maybe it's the economy, but those prices are downright reasonable. Of course, you might want to make more of an impression. As of press time, the Trumps had not yet received their $1,900 Frank Lloyd Wright vase or their $3,200 Dolphin Center compote dish. Good thing they didn't name their daughter Van Cleef & Arpels. -- A.R.
