(FORTUNE Magazine) – Today's Sun King of entrepreneurism may well be H. Wayne Huizenga, 56, CEO of Blockbuster Entertainment. The former president and co-founder of Waste Management, now WMX Technologies, had a hand in creating two of America's fastest-growing companies, and one of those, Boston Chicken, has ties to a third startup, Platinum Technology. "Wayne gives his people the freedom to create their own success," says Boston Chicken CEO Scott Beck, former COO of Blockbuster. "He is an incredible manager of entrepreneurial companies. I think you'll see many more growing ventures coming out of his businesses."
