(FORTUNE Magazine) – Simply put, Nike has reinvented the running shoe. The new Air Presto ($85; nike.com) is built almost entirely with one piece of stretch mesh. That means the shoes can be sold in unisex sizes from XXS to XL; it also means they're extraordinarily comfortable. Like a sock, but with arch support. They're not plastered with the cheesy techno-twaddle that makes most sneakers so darned ugly, and even better, they slip on and off easily. After all, if you have time to lace, you're losing the race.
