(FORTUNE Magazine) – Arialphone

Perhaps someday we'll have microchips in our heads to let us make effortless phone calls just by thinking the recipient's name. For now, the closest thing is the ArialPhone, a $399 wireless headset that connects to a Windows PC. Once set up and linked to a Microsoft Outlook contact file via a transceiver plugged into the computer's USB port, ArialPhone enables the user to call someone just by saying their name. The first version of this single-line system has several annoying drawbacks, but it also has lots of promise. Our advice is to put it on hold until version 2.0.
