Groom Grooming
By Kate Bonamici

(FORTUNE Magazine) – With the wedding season in full swing, brides-to-be are, as usual, indulging in all sorts of insane beauty regimens. But as the metrosexual trend becomes frightfully mainstream, men too are becoming targets for prenup grooming. Here are just a few of the out-there options that spas are already pushing for him this season.

TANNING: Forget beds (or spray-tanning booths, for that matter). Regina Viotto of New York City's Paul Labrecque says she sees lots of men prewedding for "air bronzes," during which a self-tanner is applied by a technician and can be "shadowed"--to emphasize abs or waist.

WAXING: Bliss Spa offers men's chest, back, and brow waxing (for traditionalists, natch!). But truly adventurous Speedo wearers can opt for a bikini wax at a men-only spa called Nickel in New York or San Francisco.

MAKEUP: Jean Paul Gaultier's new line for him includes cover-up, eyeliner, and bronzer. Says Gaultier VP Terese McDonald: "You see the photos, and the brides have all this beautiful makeup on, but the guy looks really tired and fatigued." Um, right. But we're pretty sure that has more to do with bachelor parties than with bronzer. --Kate Bonamici
