(FORTUNE Magazine) - Nautica's style may be classically American, but its business is global. Every year CEO Denise Seegal visits each of the world's fashion capitals (she counts seven) and attends numerous store openings abroad. (The sportswear chain is set to open stores in New Delhi, Mexico City, and Dubai in the next six months alone.) Just back from Paris, the New York--based Seegal shared a few of her travel secrets.

Favorite way to fly

Cathay Airlines to Hong Kong. I love the seats that turn into full-length beds.

Air necessities

I sleep when I fly, so I always travel with my Loro Piana cashmere blanket and slippers. Prada makes slippers that come in a satin bag, and I have them in three different colors.

Best lunch spots

L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Paris. They don't take reservations so it's easier to get a seat for lunch. Also, the Grill Room at the Four Seasons in New York.

Favorite hotel

In Paris, I always stay at Hotel Montalembert because I like to be in St. Germain. In London, the Halkin. I also like small boutique hotels, like Shanghai's 88 Xintiandi.

Fashionista must

Colette in Paris. It's a mix of all the best new designer products.

Antiquers' paradise

Bermondsey Market in London. Everybody goes to Portobello, but Bermondsey is where all the antique traders for Portobello go. Get there very early, maybe 5 A.M., with a flashlight.

Trend watch

The denim jacket is coming back--I saw that in London. In Tokyo men are dressing up: dress jacket and dress shirt with jeans, lots of accessories.
