(FORTUNE Small Business) – Like many of you, we're always looking for ways to serve our customers better. To that end, we have a number of changes in store this year. Take a look at the magazine you're holding. You'll first notice that we've streamlined our logo (see the evolution of YOUR COMPANY/FSB on your left) and the magazine's design. You'll also see that FSB is now bound, book-style, rather than stapled.

But perhaps the biggest changes are on the word side. We've added editorial pages, new features, and new columns. For example: First Person and Tech Reader, the latter by former FORTUNE hand Joel Dreyfuss. We've increased the size of our staff to provide all this and a lot more. For those of you who pay close attention to such things, we've got a lot of good people with great pedigrees producing this magazine for you. Some of the publications they've worked at: the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Money, and PC Magazine.

But we have even more planned. In spring we expect to launch a new managing section; our annual Big Ideas issue will be expanded, featuring some 100 new businesses from around the U.S.; in June there will be a special, full-issue resource guide for small businesses, and the fall will bring FSB's second annual investors' guide--as well as, of course, another edition of our small business hall of fame.

Tell me how you feel about our changes via e-mail to hank_gilman@timeinc.com, or write me at 1271 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10020. And thanks for reading.
