(FORTUNE Small Business) – Last May, we reported that Steve Demos' Boulder, Colo., company, White Wave, was on its way to ruling the soy milk market with its Silk brand. But the planned merger of the dairy world's top players, Dean Foods and Suiza, might interfere with Demos' mission. Dean Foods owns 36% of White Wave--while Suiza's Sun Soy brand is Silk's main competitor. White Wave's management (pictured above) are suing, saying they have a right to buy shares back rather than see operations transferred to a rival. Dean and Suiza, already bragging about the "absolutely unassailable" market dominance that the Silk and Sun Soy brands will give them, say the suit is without merit.
