What Do Women (Entrepreneurs) Want? Our exclusive poll probes the gender gap in small business.
By Richard McGill Murphy

(FORTUNE Small Business) – When it comes to politics, woman entrepreneurs are from both Venus and Mars, according to an exclusive FSB/Zogby Interactive survey of small-business owners across the country.

Woman business owners are more likely than their male counterparts to be Democrats and to describe their politics as liberal or progressive. On the other hand, both men and women list the war on terror, the economy, and the morals of our elected officials as the three most important factors determining their vote for President.

The e-mail poll surveyed 766 male and 785 female business owners nationwide from May 10 to May 14. The margin of error is 3.7%. --R.M.M.
