(FORTUNE Small Business) – Kwytza Kraft Chopstick Lamp $68 While studying in China, Bryan Parks, 29, noticed how many disposable chopsticks went into the trash. After launching Sacramento-based Kwytza Kraft in 2004, he began incorporating the sticks into a new line of lamps, CD racks, and floor mats. Parks manufactures in China, where the chopsticks are gathered from restaurants and sanitized. New lamp colors for the holiday season: burgundy, black, and teal (right). kwytzakraft.com

Lyn Gaylord Silver Belt Buckles $125-$325 For 25 years, Lyn Gaylord, 59, has been collecting 19th-century matchboxes, doorknobs, pipes, and other trinkets. In 1996 this former real estate agent was inspired to turn designs from her collection into belt buckles. The Rowayton, Conn., resident carves the designs in wax and sends them to a Rhode Island silversmith to be cast. Her dog and equestrian buckles are popular, but her 300 designs range from mermaids to monkeys. Among her newest buckles are a fish and a lizard-skin pattern (left). While buckles are her specialty, Gaylord also sells leather belt straps for $75 to $450. lyngaylord.com

Sonos Digital Music System $1,199 Lots of music lovers have tunes stored on their computers but don't have a clue how to play them over a home or office audio system. That dilemma led three friends--all former dot-commers--to form Sonos in Santa Barbara in 2002. Their solution is a two-piece digital music system. The wireless remote accesses tracks on a PC's hard drive and plays them anywhere within 150 feet through the Zone Players, 50-watt amplifiers that connect to stereo speakers (not included). The starter kit includes two Zone Players, but you can add as many as 30 more--at $499 each. Using one remote, you can play a different song in every room of your house. sonos.com

Holden Designs Dog Bowl $99-$219 As Jon Rahman's black Labrador, Fagel-Skar, got older, she had trouble lowering her head to eat from her bowl. To remedy the problem, Rahman, 32, designed a raised doggie dish. Pleased with his creation and seeking more artistic freedom, Rahman left an architecture firm in 2004 to focus entirely on his own modern pet accessories company, Holden Designs of Venice, Calif. His new Holden Bowl is an update to Fagel-Skar's dish. Available in three sizes (the smallest is pictured below), it has two stainless-steel dishes and comes in three wood veneers. holdendesigns.com
