Bixby is one of the fastest-growing cities in Oklahoma. North of the Arkansas River, which snakes through town, residents can all their commercial necessities; south of it they live in pastoral neighborhoods with large yards. The weekly farmer's market lures residents from nearby Tulsa; so does the 4,500-seat SpiritBank Center, Bixby's concert, sport and event venue. The 100-acre Bentley Park Sports Complex, due to be completed this year, will offer baseball diamonds, soccer fields, sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, bocce courts, walking trails, and a children's splash park. --N.A.
