BORROWING: THE TOP EIGHT CREDIT CARDS
By Editor: Pauline Tai Reporter associate: Beth M. Gilbert

(MONEY Magazine) – The Consumer Credit Card Rating Service in Santa Monica surveyed 500 cards issued by 245 institutions recently and found these eight best. A revolver, who pays only the monthly minimum, will save interest expense with the low 12.5% fixed-rate card at People's Bank. Average users, who pay in full up to six times a year, will want USAA's MasterCard, which boasts a 14% variable rate, a 25-day grace period and no annual fee. And convenience users, who always pay the bill in full, will favor Imperial Savings' free Visa card with a 25-day grace period.
