(MONEY Magazine) – MONEY asked four prominent physicians to evaluate seven of the leading medical newsletters; their comments, and composite scores on a scale of 100, are shown below. The panel included Bruce B. Dan, senior contributing editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association and Chicago medical editor for ABC News; family physician Edward Marshall Ellison Jr. of Garden Grove, Calif. and the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Anaheim, Calif.; Simeon Margolis, associate dean and professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore; and Robert Rakel, associate dean and chairman of family medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
