(MONEY Magazine) – Our organization, which is composed entirely of clinical dermatologists, had occasion to critically review your article on ''The Selling of Retin-A'' (April). Over the past few years we have observed (rather quietly, I am ashamed to say) some of the changes you have described. The promotion of prescription drugs directly to the public and the increasing confusion between marketing efforts and the dissemination of scientific data are particularly deplorable. Philip M.
