Give the guy a (tax) break?

(MONEY Magazine) – You're a tough bunch, you MONEY readers. A fellow complains a little, and you climb all over him. At least that's what happened to San Diego surgeon Richard Richley (pictured above). He told us in March's "Tax-Bracket Terror!" that new laws have doubled his taxes to $290,000 on a $600,000 income, causing him to worry about whether he can afford to send his daughter Tiffany to college. Were you moved by his story? Not at all, according to dozens of letters we have received, some of which we are publishing here.
