(MONEY Magazine) – Head to Canada for fall foliage. With the exchange rate continuing to favor U.S. travelers, you can watch nature's fireworks at a discount. A double room at Quebec's Cheribourg Resort (800-567-6132), including breakfast, is only $84 Canadian, or about $56 U.S., per day. Remember, there's a drought in the Northeast this year--so check for the ideal foliage dates with Tourisme Quebec at 800-363-7777. (And for ideal leaf-gazing dates in the U.S., go to www.weather.com/fall.)

Check out Colorado, no skis required. Aspen's renowned Hotel Jerome (800-331-7213) is offering a special rate of $95 per night from Sept. 19 to Nov. 19. You won't be able to ski yet, but hiking and fly-fishing are in season. The deal is about 70% off winter prices.

Play golf at a discount. Many seaside resorts must work hard to attract fall guests even though the weather--if a bit cool for the beach--is still ideal for golf. Until Oct. 31, for example, the oceanfront Sea Crest Resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C. is offering a special price of $44 to $48 per person, double occupancy, including 18 holes of golf a day. That's 35% off peak season rates. Call 800-845-1112.

Enjoy the benefits of age. Now to Jan. 31, Bestfares.com (800-880-1234) offers travelers ages 62 and above--and their companions of any age--discounts of up to 70% on regular fares on trips between dozens of U.S. cities. The round-trip fare from New York to San Francisco, for example, is $247.
