Dining Deals
By Nick Pachetti

(MONEY Magazine) – With recent market gyrations, you might be feeling a little frugal when it comes to dining out. But that doesn't mean you have to resort to Big Macs. America's Best Meal Deals ($10.95), a new guide by Zagat Survey, lists the dining spots in 38 cities that offer the best bang for your buck. Culled from Zagat's popular series of dark red pocket-size dining guides, the picks include Clark's Outpost, for the best barbecue in Dallas; Lou Mitchell's, a downtown Chicago breakfast institution; Dalessandro's Steaks, said to have the best cheese steak in Philly; and the Pearl Oyster Bar in New York City's Greenwich Village, where lobster rolls (left) are the, ahem, "Maine attraction." It's a great guide to world-class eating establishments that just happen to come cheap.
