Keeping Up With The Sopranos
By Katherine Z. Josephs

(MONEY Magazine) – HBO's popular mobster saga may be in the off-season, but that hasn't kept a handful of fans from spending Sunday evenings in the home of their favorite crime family. The 5,000-square-foot colonial used for exterior shots of Tony Soprano's house (interior scenes are filmed elsewhere) is the North Caldwell, N.J. home of professional contractor Victor Recchia. As the show gained popularity, Recchia began selling plans of the house at www.sopranohomedesign.com for $700. To date, he estimates, some 250 exact replicas of his five-bedroom, four-bathroom home (complete with miles of marble and a fountain-adorned swimming pool) have been built around the country.
