(MONEY Magazine) – Q. Is there a website that provides archived business news articles? Dean Brown dbrown21@ix.netcom.com

A. With wire stories and site links, Yahoo's Full Coverage (fullcoverage.yahoo.com) is my favorite source for news. The site compiles and sorts links to articles from Reuters, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and others. Unfortunately, archives going back more than four months are difficult to navigate. CNNfn's archives of its own stories (www.cnnfn.com) stretch back to 1998.

Many newspaper and magazine websites allow free searches. Editor & Publisher's Media Links tool (emedia1.mediainfo.com) lets you locate news outlets across the globe.

For decades-deep searches through hundreds of different news sources, consider a paid query using Lexis-Nexis by Credit Card (www.lexis-nexis.com/creditcard). Single searches of major newspapers cost $3 and up. Or you can buy a daily ($24) or weekly ($49) pass to conduct unlimited research.
