(MONEY Magazine) – DOUBLE THE FUN Believe it or not, you can hit the links and the slopes on the same day. The catch is that skiable runs can be limited this time of year--but the prices compensate for that. For $169 a night, you get a room at The Pines Lodge (800-752-7920) in Beaver Creek, Colo., one lift ticket and one round of golf, through May 25. Through June 8, Fairmont Chateau Whistler (800-866-5577) in British Columbia is offering a three-night stay (breakfast included), two days of lift passes and one round of golf for $450 per person, assuming double occupancy. Through May 23 at Vermont's Killington Resort (800-621-6867), greens fees are $29--that's $40 off--if you buy a $25-to-$35 lift ticket on the same day.

CANCEL THAT If these uncertain times have you rethinking vacation plans, you may be able to cancel or reschedule without penalty. In the past, changes usually meant paying a fee or losing your deposit. But in recent weeks several airlines, cruise and tour operators, and hotels have changed their policies to be more lenient with customers who choose to stay home. In early March, American, Continental, Northwest, United and US Airways all announced that they would temporarily eliminate the $100 change fee should a war begin. Policies vary and change often, so make sure to ask about rules and restrictions before you reschedule. United currently lets you postpone certain flights booked before March 31 until as late as Dec. 31. Travel website Expedia announced that it would temporarily waive change fees on certain hotel bookings, car rentals and package trips. --MEGAN JOHNSTON
