Major Bond Funds

(MONEY Magazine) – Complete table not available. For the complete Major Bond Funds list please see the print magazine

>>Here are the results for 474 bond funds that are listed on the Nasdaq, have assets of at least $400 million, are available to individual investors for a minimum investment of $25,000 or less and have been in operation since Jan. 1, 2003 or earlier. We've switched data providers--we're using Lipper this year. As a result, some of the categories and peer-group rankings may look different from those in previous years. For example, Lipper classifies Vanguard GNMA as a government mortgage fund; in previous years it was categorized as an intermediate-term government fund. The peer-group ranks reflect these new groups. Yields are 12-month yields.

(Note: MONEY 100 funds are included in the tables regardless of assets or minimum initial investment.)
