(MONEY Magazine) – The Vanguard REIT Index replaces Fidelity Capital Appreciation. The latter has had a change in managers as part of a larger shake-up at Fidelity. REITs have had quite a run--the Vanguard fund has gained an average of 26% a year for the past three years--so don't consider this a recommendation to plow money into the fund right now. But over the long run, having real estate in your portfolio should smooth out and enhance your returns.
