100 Top MBA Employers

How we pick the most desirable employers

Methodology

Think of it as a popularity contest for companies: Every year research firm Universum USA ranks the most desirable employers in the world, based on where MBA candidates say they'd most like to work.

To pick the 100 Most Desirable MBA Employers, Universum surveyed 3,739 MBA students (1,622 women and 2,097 men) at 135 top business schools nationwide between the months of December 2012 and March 2013.

Students were asked to choose the five companies they would most like to work for from a list of over 175 companies. They also have the opportunity to write-in the name of a company if it was not included in the list. The list of companies that students select from was compiled using the previous year's ranking of desirable employers, plus any company that received a high number of write-in votes in the previous year's survey. The rankings are based on how many times the company was selected as one of five ideal employers.
