GE Healthcare licenses lung imaging technology to Merck
GE Healthcare licenses lung imaging technology to Merck for development of respiratory drugs

NEW YORK (Associated Press) - GE Healthcare Monday said it inked an agreement with drug maker Merck & Co. to provide lung imaging technology to assist in respiratory drug development.

Under the deal, Merck will receive non-exclusive access to GE's Spin Signal Technology, which provides quick MRIs of lung function.

Chalfont St. Giles, England-based GE Healthcare, a division of the General Electric Co., did not provide financial details of the agreement.

Shares of GE fell 10 cents to $33.24 in midday trading, while shares of Whitehouse Station, N.J.-based Merck traded up 3 cents to $39.40. Top of page
