Sikorksy Aircraft awarded $30.5 million contract to supply helicopters for Bahrain

NEW YORK (Associated Press) - United Technologies Corp.'s Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. was awarded a $30.4 million Army contract to modify and customize nine of its UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters for the Bahrain Defense Force, the Defense Department said late Tuesday.

The company will also provide the Bahrain government with training and support services.

Shares of United Technologies, based in Hartford, Conn., rose 7 cents to $73.11 Tuesday. Top of page
