STREET MOVES:Morgan Stanley Hires Advisors From UBS,Citigroup

NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Morgan Stanley's (MS) global wealth management unit hired several advisors last week.

The firm recruited Alan Weilacher and Gerard Stadler from Citigroup Inc.'s (C) Smith Barney unit to work in Beachwood, Ohio, on Friday. The team reports to the branch manager Thomas Russ, earned commissions and fees over the past year of $ 1.35 million, and managed prior assets of $193 million.

Morgan Stanley also hired Alan R. Greenberg and Matthew A. Thompson from Smith Barney to work in Great Neck, N.Y. The team earned commissions and fees of $1.6 million and managed prior assets of $175 million. They report to the branch manager Paul Schroeder.

Morgan Stanley hired two teams from UBS AG (UBS) last Friday as well. Adam and Howard Schur joined the Purchase, N.Y., office, reporting to Todd Taylor, the complex manager. They earned commissions and fees of $2.13 million and managed prior assets of $550 million.

James Driggers, Daniel Smith and Christine Ihrig-Hicks joined the Sarasota, Fla., office, reporting to the complex manager Daniel V. Murphy Jr. They had combined commissions and fees of $2.5 million and managed prior assets of $356 million.
