Adaptation of Hyperbolic Tower Design to Provide Cost Effective and Efficient Clean Energy

ANNAPOLIS, Md., April 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Solar Wind Energy Tower, Inc. (OTCQB: SWET), (the "Company") announced their strategic partnership with Commonwealth Dynamics, Inc. Over the last six months, Solar Wind Energy's design and construction management  teaming partners have been diligently working on value engineering the core of our Tower structure in order to reduce cost, time of construction and utilize readily available construction materials, some of which that are indigenous to our region of construction.

Commonwealth Dynamics, Inc., in cooperation with the Whiting Turner Contracting Company have developed an adaptation of a hyperbolic  thin walled concrete structure that meets the criteria that Solar Wind Energy set out to accomplish. The new design provides the proper internal directional wind contours, facilitates the proper placement of the 25 exit wind tunnels situated around the circumference of the base of the tower which host turbines, will incorporate the required personnel access for maintenance and safety, and will conform to all regulatory requirements for such a structure.

The incremental cost savings are significant for the thin walled hyperbolic design and eliminate the need for the construction of an onsite assembly/fabrication facility required to produce the Tower from steel. Specific concrete design mixes will be produced and batched onsite, and be readily available on an as needed basis for application. Sufficient constituent materials are available and pricing is more stable and less expensive than steel. All of the above reduce the overall time of construction and reduce cost.

Mr. Pickett says "Our desire has always been to build the most cost effective and efficient clean energy system available. We have always known that in today's world, to be successful, an alternative energy project must not only incorporate environmentally sound fundamental principles, but must be able to stand on its own financial merits without dependence on subsidies. Although, we still believe that the steel structure has application in certain geographic areas where even taller structures may be needed, the concrete version developed will be the construction method used on the majority of our projects."

Mr. Dave A. Kanner, president Of Commonwealth Dynamics, Inc. says, "Commonwealth Dynamics, Inc. is committed to developing innovative solutions for the expanding renewable energy market and is very pleased to be a strategic partner with Solar Wind Energy.  As experts in the field of reinforced concrete design and construction for tall structures, Commonwealth will provide engineering and construction support for this unique and critical structure. Solar Wind's technology reflects the necessary, positive evolution of power generation as the country moves toward the development of clean, renewable, and affordable energy"

About Solar Wind Energy, Inc.
Solar Wind Energy, Inc. (Solar Wind Energy), a wholly owned subsidiary of Solar Wind Energy Tower, Inc., was established to commercialize a number of proven, validated technologies and construction systems into a single large Solar Wind Downdraft Tower structure that produces abundant, inexpensive electricity.  Our Company's core objective and focus is to become a leading provider of clean, efficient green energy to the world communities, at a reasonable cost, without the destructive residuals of fossil fuels, while continuing to generate innovative technological solutions for tomorrow's electrical power needs.

Innovative Renewable Hybrid Solar / Wind Energy Technology
We view ourselves as a hybrid solar/wind technology, reflected in the name, Solar Wind Energy Tower, Inc. The simplicity of our solution is comprised of harnessing the natural power of a downdraft created within the confines of our Solar Wind Downdraft Tower structure, a hollow cylinder reaching skyward into the hot, dry atmosphere heated by the solar rays of the sun. The water introduced by the injection system near the top of the Tower evaporates and is absorbed by the hot, dry air. The air becomes cooler, denser and heavier than the outside warmer air and falls through the cylinder at speeds up to and in excess of 50 mph and is diverted into wind tunnels surrounding the base of the Tower where turbines inside the tunnels power generators to produce electricity.

In addition to constructing Solar Wind Downdraft Towers in the United States and abroad, the Company intends to establish partnerships at home and abroad to propagate these systems and meet increasing global demand for electricity. Solar Wind Energy has assembled a team of experienced business professionals, engineering and scientific consultants with the proven ability to bring the idea to market. Solar Wind Energy has filed and been issued patents that the Company believes will further enhance this potentially revolutionary technology. Solar Wind Energy, Inc. is based in Annapolis, MD, and is traded on the OTCQB under the symbol 'SWET'.  For more information visit www.solarwindenergytower.com
