NEW YORK (CNN/Money) -- The Institute for Women in Policy Research looked at several factors to determine the economic status of women in each state. This chart examines five of them: median annual earnings for both women and men; the wage gap ratio between women and men; the percentage of women in managerial or professional positions; the percentage of women-owned businesses.
