Jeep Hurricane
There are two really strange things about the Hurricane. The first is that it has two Hemi V-8 engines. Depending on power needs at any given time, the off-roader can run on 4, 8, 12 or all 16 cylinders.

It can also, literally, turn on a dime. Front and back wheels can angle inward allowing the Hurricane to rotate in one spot. DaimlerChrysler, Jeep's parent company, says its patented technology could see some military applications.

For those of us without Pentagon budgets, future Jeep production vehicles might benefit from some less radical applications of Hurricane's 4-wheel steering technology, suggested Joseph Barker with auto market analysts CSM Worldwide.
