2005 Pontiac GTO
Strong point: Power, power, more powerWeak point: Price, day-to-day drivability Price: About $33,000 The GTO is really fun to drive. There are only two things holding this car back: the relatively high sticker price of its sole trim level and, in the stick-shift version, a sloppy shifter that makes it hard to keep up with the close-ratio transmission and roaring Corvette engine. The GTO's once-dull looks have been helped by hood scoops and a few other add-ons. At least now it looks less like the old Grand Am and a little more like a muscle car. |
