General Motors promises that the "Aura's driving character will match its refined design." Inside, the car features two-tone color combinations on trim and upholstery. Analog gauges are lit by LEDs.

The base Aura is powered by a standard 3.5-liter V-6 engine producing a maximum of 224 horsepower. It has a four-speed transmission. Uplevel models will be available with a 3.6-liter 252-horsepower engine and six-speed manually-shiftable automatic transmission.
