glove
Wilson Sporting Goods introduced its $299 A2K glove earlier this year, upping the price of what had been its most expensive glove by about $100.

The glove uses only the best quality leather, what company officials refer to as the "cream of the cream" that was formerly reserved just for the pros. This leather is supposed to give the glove greater comfort and control, and allow it to develop the perfect pocket virtually overnight.

Jim Hackett, general manager for Wilson baseball and softball, thinks the main buyer will be parents hoping to give their kids an edge in competitive sports.
