Bison Brewing
This brewery's Organic Farmhouse Ale, available in eight states, beat out 43 other French-Belgian saison-style beers (rustic and cloudy with aromas of citrus and clove) for the gold. Based in Berkeley, Bison was one of the original California brew pubs when it opened in 1989, but it switched to brewing - only in 2003.
