The "intelligent oven" enables users to prepare dinner in advance and stick it in the oven. The refrigerator part will keeps food cool, and those nasty bacteria counts in check, until the users turn on the heat, which they can do via phone or Internet. By the time they're home there's a piping hot meal ready and waiting.

Run into traffic or get caught in a long meeting and the oven can be put back into refrigerator mode.
