Jeffrey K. Skilling
Enron President and COO, served as CEO from 2/2001-8/2001

The Harvard MBA and former McKinsey consultant joined Enron in 1990 and reached the pinnacle in 2001 before he abruptly resigned as CEO, sparking a chain of events that led to Enron’s demise. On the stand, Skilling passionately declared “I am absolutely innocent. The charges against me are wrong. I am innocent of those charges and I will fight those charges until the day I die."

Skilling pled not guilty to 28 counts of conspiracy and fraud. On the stand, he attempted to control his normally brash demeanor but failed to hold his temper when baited by the prosecution on misleading the public about Enron’s true financial condition.
