Answer: Depends when you were born
The retirement age has been rising gradually from 65 to 67. But it freezes at 67 for anyone born after 1959. Many recommend raising it further to reflect increasing longevity. Others strongly disagree.

"We're much healthier in our 60s than when Social Security was created," said pension expert Ron Gebhardtsbauer. "Now it's an entitlement that goes to you whether or not you have the capacity to work."
