Investment Objective The investment seeks to provide a consistent level of current income exempt from federal income tax with a secondary emphasis on maximizing total return through capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in municipal securities that generate income exempt from federal income tax, but not necessarily the federal alternative minimum tax ("AMT"). These securities include securities of municipal issuers located in Texas as well as in other states, territories and possessions of the United States. The fund may invest more than 25% of its total assets in bonds of issuers in Texas.
