Investment Objective The investment seeks high current income, liquidity and security of principal. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in securities backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, including related repurchase agreements (the "80% test"). Within the 80% test, the fund invests principally in Ginnie Maes (mortgage-backed securities issued or guaranteed by the Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA)), but may also invest in U.S. Treasuries and other securities that are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government.
