Investment Objective The investment seeks to provide current income and long-term growth of income and capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in dividend-paying equity securities. It usually invests in equity securities of companies with large market capitalizations. For this fund, companies with large market capitalizations are those with market capitalizations within the range of companies comprising the Russell 1000  Value Index. The fund also invests in real estate investment trusts and securities of foreign issuers.
