Investment Objective The investment seeks high current income while providing for capital appreciation by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of below investment grade bonds. The fund invests in a wide variety of debt instruments and income-producing securities. It normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in corporate debt securities rated below investment grade. Investment grade debt securities are rated within the four highest grades by at least one of the major rating agencies, such as Standard & Poor's (at least BBB-), Moody's (at least Baa3) or Fitch (at least BBB-), or are securities that the fund's adviser determines to be of comparable quality.
