Company Description

Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. is a holding company, which is a global provider of outsourced aircraft and aviation operating services. It operates through four business segments: ACMI, AMC Charter, Commercial Charter, and Dry Leasing. The ACMI segment provides outsourced aircraft operating solutions, including the provision of an aircraft crew, maintenance and insurance. The AMC Charter segment provides full planeload passenger and cargo aircraft charter services to the U.S. Military. The Commercial Charter segment provides full planeload cargo and passenger capacity to customers for one or more flights based on a specific origin and destination. Charter customers pay a fixed charter fee that includes fuel, insurance, landing fees, overfly and all other operational fees and costs. The Commercial Charter business is generally booked on a short-term, as-needed, basis. The Dry Leasing segment provides for the leasing of aircraft and/or engines to customers primarily through Titan. Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings was founded by Michael Chowdry in 1993 and is headquartered in Purchase, NY.
