The Locum Tenens Staffing segment place physicians of all specialties, as well as dentists, certified registered nurse anesthetists, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, with clients on a temporary basis as independent contractors. The locum tenens physicians and other professionals are used by its healthcare facility and physician practice group clients to fill temporary vacancies created by vacation and leave schedules and to bridge the gap while they seek permanent candidates or explore expansion. The Physician Permanent Placement Services segment assists hospitals, healthcare facilities and physician practice groups throughout the United States in identifying and recruiting physicians for permanent placement. The company was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in San Diego, CA.
