Allot Communications Ltd. provides IP service optimization solutions for mobile, DSL and wireless broadband carriers, cable operator service providers and enterprises. Its portfolio of hardware platforms and software applications utilizes advanced deep packet inspection, or DPI, technology to transform broadband pipes into smart networks that can rapidly and efficiently manage data over mobile and wireline networks and deploy value added Internet services. The company's scalable, carrier-grade solutions provide the visibility, security, application control and subscriber management that are vital to managing Internet service delivery, guaranteeing quality of experience, or QoE, containing operating costs, and maximizing revenue in broadband networks. Its solutions enable service providers to optimize and monetize their wireline and mobile data networks. These solutions employ advanced deep packet inspection, which identifies applications by examining the content encapsulated in packets, including header and application information. The company's product portfolio comprises of Traffic management systems, Network management application suites and Value added services. The Traffic management system comprises of Service gateway platform and NetEnforcer product lines. The Service gateway platform is an open standards-based platform for broadband service control and optimization based on deep packet inspection, which is designed to reduce the cost and complexity of developing new services. The NetEnforcer traffic management system inspects, monitors and controls network traffic by application and by user. The Network management application suite consists of NetXplorer management application and Subscriber management platform. The NetXplorer management application suite provides service providers and enterprise customers a highly granular, real time view of all traffic on the network. The Subscriber management platform is a scalable system, which helps service providers to build an intelligent service network designed to deliver the quality of experience and monitors subscriber behavior to identify, track and report short or long term usage trends. The Value added services include service protector, media swift and web safe. Its solutions are used to create policies to monitor network applications, enforce quality of service policies that guarantee mission-critical application performance, mitigate security risks and leverage network infrastructure investments. The company was founded by Yigal Jacoby and Michael Shurman in November 1996 and is headquartered in Hod-Hasharon, Israel.
