The company targets semiconductor and flat-panel display manufacturers, whose products form the foundation of microelectronics technology rapidly proliferating through the consumer products, information technology, automotive, healthcare and communications industries. ATMI was founded by Eugene G. Banucci, Glenn Tom, Ward Chas Stevens, Duncan W. Brown and W. Karl Olander in 1986 and is headquartered in Danbury, CT.
