It operates through two reportable business segments: Pressure-sensitive Materials and Retail Branding and Information Solutions. The Pressure-sensitive Materials segment manufactures and sells Fasson JAC and Avery Dennison-brand pressure-sensitive roll materials, Avery-brand graphics and graphic films, Avery Dennison-brand reflective products, and performance polymers. Its products include pressure-sensitive roll materials, flexible packaging, roll-fed sleeve, water-and solvent-based performance polymer adhesives and engineered films, graphic imaging media and reflective materials. The Retail Branding and Information Solutions segment designs, manufactures and sells a wide variety of brand identification and information management products for retailers, apparel manufacturers, distributors and industrial customers on a worldwide basis. The business of this segment tends to be seasonal, with higher volume generally in advance of the fall, spring and holiday shipping periods. Avery Dennison was founded in 1935 by R. Stanton Avery and is headquartered in Pasadena, CA.
