It operates through the following segments: U.S. Card Services (USCS); International Consumer and Network Services (ICNS); Global Commercial Services (GCS); Global Merchant Services (GMS), and Corporate and Other. The USCS segment offers a range of proprietary consumer cards and provides services to consumers in the United States, including travel services. The ICNS segment covers travel services outside the United States. The GCS segment issues corporates and small business cards, and payment and expense management services globally. The GMS segment represents payment network that processes and settles proprietary and non-proprietary card transactions. The Corporate and Other segment consists of corporates functions and certain other businesses and operations. The company was founded by Henry Wells, William G. Fargo and John Warren Butterfield on March 28, 1850 and is headquartered in New York, NY.
